Kadirli

Kadirli is the biggest county of Osmaniye in terms of population and it’s economic activities are mainly based on agricultural production.

Grain, corn, peanut, radish and watermellon are top agricultural products that is grown in Kadirli. 79% of radish production in Turkey comes from Kadirli county. Livestock activities are mostly cattle farming. Organized Industrial Zone (OIZ) of Kadirli was established in 2000 on 120 hectares of land in İnebeyli Döğüştepe in Yusuf İzzettin Village. Kadirli OIZ is at a distance of 5 km from Kadirli, 35 km from Osmaniye highway entrance, 50 km from Adana Ceyhan highway entrance, 90 km from Adana Airport, 100 km from The Port of Iskenderun and 180 km from the Port of Mersin. The area of the zone is 171 hectares today. There are 46 plots in Kadirli OIZ. Number of employees is 1.562 people. Also there is one vocational school of higher education called “Kadirli Vocational High School” is appurtenant to Osmaniye Korkut Ata University.
